Downtown Healdsburg has a new local hot spot called Little Saint. This plant-based restaurant, cafe, bar and marketplace will have you hooked after your first visit.
Little Saint, is named after a 5-acre farm, located just a short drive outside of town. Many of the herbs and vegetables that end up being served to guests are grown on this petite farm.
Right as you walk in to Little Saint, you are greeted by a colorful assortment of freshly-cut flowers that are artfully displayed by the window. On the opposite side of the flowers is the coffee bar. Each morning I have gone, the glass case is stocked full of mouth-watering pastries that have been baked using 100% plant-based ingredients. My personal favorite is the chocolate babka, a flaky croissant-like pastry, that is braided around a generous layer of dark chocolate…you would NEVER know it was vegan.
I have yet to try the actual restaurant for a proper sit-down meal, but it is definitely on my bucket-list. Stay tuned for a “part II” of this post once I experience that!
